Preparation: a blessing, responsibility

Most people shy away from talking about issues and plans that involve the end of life. That's most people, but not those of us who understand how precious life really is. We care deeply about our lives and the lives of others, especially those we love. We also realize that no one lives forever. As unpleasant as that may sound, it's a reality. Death is something you and I cannot escape, but we can prepare. The opportunity to prepare is both a blessing and a responsibility. .

Preparation not only touches on the spiritual but also other facets of our lives. Let's talk today about whether or not you have a completed and updated Will or Living Trust. Please don't stop reading if you find this topic a little uncomfortable! More than 70 percent of Americans are not up to speed with these documents, so you're not alone. That doesn't mean, however, that you're in the clear -- far from it. The bottom line is you have a choice to make. You can do nothing at all and leave the decisions to someone else after you die (usually a probate court judge), or you can make a decision right now to do something about it and direct the distribution of all you own and leave behind. It's really just that simple. Your decision to complete a Will or Living Trust is Step #1 to making your wishes known.

Not a problem! Simply call (248) 553-8800. We'll make sure you get the information you want and need
