Mike Cox will provide needed prolife voice as governor
The Right to Life of Michigan Political Action Committee (RLM-PAC) is proud to stand with prolife Attorney General Mike Cox in his campaign to be the next governor of Michigan. RLM-PAC endorsed Mike Cox for the Republican gubernatorial primary election.
Mike Cox said, “Standing together we will provide a voice for the voiceless, defend the unborn and, I have faith, restore the basic right to life to every member of our human family.”
With his wife Laura, Mike is raising four children. His children Sinead, Conor and Rory attend school and his daughter Lindsey recently returned from a tour of duty in Iraq with the U.S. Marine Corps.
Laura Cox said, “I am so proud of Mike for being an amazing father to our four kids and for his willingness to stand up to defend the unborn.”
Right to Life of Michigan President Barbara Listing said, “We have a prolife team with Mike and Laura Cox. As elected public servants, both have sought and obtained the RLM-PAC endorsement.”
Mike Cox has a long history as a strong advocate for the unborn. He has been endorsed by RLM-PAC in both of his winning state-wide campaigns for attorney general. As Attorney General, he defended Michigan’s ban on partial birth abortion to the U.S. Supreme Court despite Governor Jennifer Granholm’s opposition. He also defied the governor by immediately filing a lawsuit challenging the national health care law which includes federal funding of abortion.
RLM-PAC Chairman Paul Miller said, “Without a doubt, his office has been the most responsive Attorney General’s office to our prolife goals since Roe v. Wade in 1973.”
The prolife convictions of Mike Cox are more than mere words. He has also generously spent time on prolife issues outside of his capacity as attorney general. He has attended numerous Right to Life of Michigan state and local events, including this year’s Legislative Day where he gave a presentation on prolife constitutional issues.
