What can this next generation can do to promote a positive prolife message?

When I was young the concept of square roots was too much for me to fathom, but as I progressed through addition, subtraction, multiplication and division, square roots did not seem so impossible. This is the same way that students should progress in their prolife education. We don’t start out being able to witness to a pro-abortion companion. We start out by educating ourselves.

You can’t be effective in speaking to others if you aren’t sure what you are standing for. Learning definitions is an important starting point. We also need to know our opponent’s position. Current laws and regulations are another thing to equip yourself with in this fight. Yes, I did say fight because we are literally fighting to save lives.

Once armed with the basics, students should take the opportunity to speak or write pro-life papers, to attend talks and conferences, and to check out prolife websites and groups. Promoting a positive pro-life message is not something you can learn to do overnight, anymore than mastering square roots is. With knowledge and confidence behind you, you can be a confident voice for the pro-life message. People will listen to a calm, rational person longer than to someone yelling statistics at them. I feel this is key to reaching others about this issue.

Start by learning the truth about life issues. Then speak up! Once you understand what is at the heart of this dispute you will learn how important each voice is. Commit to being 100% pro-life; get a bumper-sticker and some pro-life t-shirts. Speak, not only with words but with your actions and decisions. If the next generation will follow this proven path they will be able communicative a positive pro-life message when the opportunity presents itself!
